EB3 Guys,
Take it easy... This is just for humour, to have fun at these times.
No green card for you. Just work well for 6 years, enjoy life in US, enjoy sports cars by renting, not by buying, rent a big house, have a lawn and garden in back yard, grow your own vegetables. Have nice vacations like Hawaii, Jamaican islands, Vegas, Porto Rico etc.,Have fun in life. Do not go for green card. After 6 years, get nice job in India,own apartment near to office and ask your parents to live with you. Take kids to school . Have fun with them. Completely agree with you here. Puts the quest for GC in perspective. Understand that everyone's situation is different, but is it really worth it to put your life on hold, that too based on the whims of USCIS?!? Just a thought. 10 years ago, the standard of living gap between India and US was so large, it made perfect sense. The gap isnt that huge any more. For some of us stuck in EB3, it could mean another 5-10 years wait. By then the gap would have closed some more. So looking back at that point in time will the sacrifices be worth it? Once again, there is no right or wrong answer, but just cant help wondering.

Since your file is at TSC, there is an email address that AILA members have to request that your file be processed once PD is current. Contact your lawyer and ask him to check AILA InfoNet Doc. No. 08103067, that's where the procedure is outlined.
Yes, very good. Sometime late last year, Texas center issued a procedure to let registerred attorneys (not clients) send them a reminder email if and when their clients PD's become current. That should be done so that TSC can pullout the case and get it cleared.

I didn't want to dishearten anyone. What I meant that multiple RFEs are quite common. I responded to an RFE last November and counting stars since then.
An open window can again incite another RFE and then back to counting. There should not be much hope or basis on preadjudication....preadjudication is just a mode for denying cases and not giving green....one RFE responded they may shower you with more just for the fun of it.
Again hope less and don't put your life on hold

Here is the dilemma.... The Idea is great...It can change our lives But if we sit on the idea for long it will rot So DO WE TAKE ACTION or LET US WAIT FOR CORE TO COME UP WITH SOLUTION. I would suggest we form a small committee or group of people who can brainstorm and come up with possible course of actions and then present the idea to core.
This is similar to House->Judiciary committee -> Immigration sub Committee
idea is to analyze the situation and come up with the best solution rather than waiting for
CORE to act on.

04/05/2007: USCIS Cap Files Tally as of 04/04/2007
USCIS has just released their tally of cap filings as of 04/04/2007, Wednesday. In two days (04/02 and 04/03), they received 133,000 unique pieces of mail containing H-1B petitions, which turned out to be lower than 150,000 which they had initially reported. They reached the updated number following a physical count of the mail. Each piece of mail may contain more than one H-1B petition and it will take USCIS a substantial amount of time to open and sort through that volume of mail. It is a good news in a way that at the end, the total may turn out to be less than guestimate in the community and the rate of odds for winning in the lottery may be much more promising than the one initially anticipated in the rumors.
As of Wednesday, total they sorted out and each type of cases identified were as follows:
Total Sorted Out: 32,755
General cap cases: 28,052
U.S. Master or higher degree cases: 4,703
The USCIS promises to update report from time time as they continue to sort out the remaining packages.
It is surprising that the U.S. Master or higher degree cases are more or less higher than expected.

I have given my phone number several times, even you can have it ( 412 915 9526 ) but the admin is not willing to call me. I believe GCStatus has sent his phone number too. I have been a member here since July 2007, based on the GCStatus credentials, he has created his ID just a month or so. Why would I all of a sudden fake my ID when I have such a good reputation in this site. You can visit all my posts.

Are we still compiling or the stories have started going out to the right people. It was amazing to watch Sen FIenstein talk about a poor hardworking undocumented worker in the US. She was so eloquent. Every passing day makes u feel more like a 2nd class citizen. Anyways, let us chug on. I had sent my story. Just because there is not much happening in front of the media circus, do not for a moment believe nothing is happening behind the scenes.
The IV core members are still working and talking to senators and congressmen. In fact one of the core members of IV met with his congressmen today and it was a very productive meeting
The media team has also got some very important leads. Thanks to all the contributors of stories, we were able to immediately capitalize on an opportunity from a world renowned publication. We are hoping that this will be out soon.
Another US top-3 publication's article is in the works too.
As I had mentioned earlier, we have received quite a few stories and its encouraging to see people now willing to speak publicly and realizing that maybe it won't help, revealing one's story will not hurt for sure. Plus, we will never be able to conduct rallies like illegals. Approaching media with our stories is the only way to get ourselves heard.
Someone had asked a question that how many stories have we received. The answer is about 20. That might seem a lot but let me give you a very recent example of how this was too little.
We were approached by a award-winning reporter to provide her two members of IV that fit two criteria
1) Should be non-IT
2) EB1 or EB2
Given the 20 stories we had only 2 such folks that fit the criteria and they who were gracious and spoke to the reporter. The reporter then wanted to speak to one more person and we did not have any readily available person. So we had to do a crazy search for a person that fits this criteria. We were able to find someone at the last moment and we did not squander our chance. But chances are pretty high that such a thing can happen in future!
We might have a reporter who wants to write an article but is looking for an EB2 from the state of Texas. Currently we do not have anyone that fits the criteria. We would lose this chance which anyways are not easy to come by.
Also, when our IV core member met with the congressman today, he asked for someone who was suffering in his district. Fortunately our core member was from his dictrict and hence we were okay, else it would not have been a productive meeting!
So please please send us your stories......we will not reveal your info to anyone without your expressed permission. We promise....

what makes you think that EB3 are just graduates only? i worked in top 3 telecom company with B.tech+ 8 years experience before joining that company as full time employee in 2000 Jan. they started by GC process in JAn 2001.
but they have a company policy that all will be filed as EB3 no matter what. i have my colleagues who have masters from US, but still EB3. what do you say ?
what pisses me off is today i have more than 15 years of experience in IT , (yes Information technology only) and still in the line with EB3.
I'm happy that atleast EB2 is moving but at the same time there must be a balance for EB3 as well. that's all my point
(NOte: i was playing by rule so far and no regrets for that)
because they spent those 2 years getting additional academic qualifications such as masters etc., you should have listened to your parents when they told you to study well.. didnt you play cricket then ?

I'd like to add my thanks for a great job. A month ago I wasn't really aware of IV, but now I know you are a force to be reckoned with! I am already a USC, but the debacle impacted family members. We are from a country in "the rest of the world", but we also benefited from your efforts.

I strongly recommend that - everyone active on thbis thread , please update your IV profile and also join a state chapter if you have not already done that. if you do not have a state chapter, contact your neighboring state chapters or if you want to start a state chapter, contact pappu or paskal and get permission to start one.

I completed my MS in Computer Science from US around 6 years back, was on OPT for a year & thereafter moved out of US and came back to my home town. Have been working here for 6 years now as in the software field & have now applied for H1B under masters Quota. Was wondering if I am eligible to apply under this quota as I am neither a fresh graduate nor have any status in the US. Also, my lawyer has only filled out the I-129 form. Is there any special form that needs to be filled out to be considered for Master's quota?

This is a totally wrong message someone out there put out to make people nervous. Application support centers do no have IO's. The only IO's you will meet would be at a different USCIS facility where you take appointment and stand before the counter and ask the questions.
There will be no reason why someone would meet a IO at the fingerprinting place which generally have technicians and security to monitor the process. You sit in a waiting room alongwith 100 other people, then once your name is called, you do the fingerprinting and get out of the door.
There is no time to mingle with IOs nor there will be IOs(friendly or not) who would be willing to disclose any information to you.
Some people online gloat at having pleasure to spread disinformation. this seems to be the case...
