Given a choice (with comparable role and growth) I will be more inclined to spend few years (~5) in Europe, post MBA.
Was just trying to make sure if there was a easier way to maintain my GC, at the same time complete my studies in parallel.
Per all your suggestions, there are ways to walk that tightrope, but its not very straight forward...Also I am not looking into deferring my studies for a year..
Will go ahead with resignation...

you have to apply for extension hope you got the passport renewed.
Visa stamp is for entry, I-94 determines the status and length of stay. Even if the stamp is valid if I-94 is expiring you will be out of status.
If you have filed for I-485 then your status will become AOS.

Is there a conspiracy, first there was delays in the processing of the EADs, now there is delay in the production of the EAD cards...

My EAD renewal took almost 90 days to get approved, and my employer was ready to let me go if I did not get the approval before my EAD expired. Just made it with 2 days to spare.

I am also in similar suituation. My lawyer told me that my H1B status is maintained for 240 days after my visa expires. But you would need a H1B approval and visa stamping to enter country again.

But it's an organized system of bribes: first you pay PP for H1-b, then PP for LC (aka Perm, since atty fees are much higher than for RIR), then PP for I-140, but at each stage you pay a bribe and get stuck in another long line at the next stage. Only way out is by paying another bribe.
So, in the final analysis, which country is more corrupt?
India does bribes on a small scale, at lower levels of authority. US does it officially thru the govt!

Don't forget that India has millions who don't get enough to eat or drink, and also has some of the poorest people in the world. Massive corruption has helped creat a situation like that. Whenever a person takes or gives a bribe, it is like robbing someone of what they should be earning. When you pay a bribe, you are in a big or small way contributing to poverty.
Also, I don't consider the premimum processing fee to be a bribe. The money they get is used to pay salaries to their employees legally.
I have no doubt that the US is less corrupt, and I am glad it is this way!!!

I-485 is your application. Employer must provide receipt notices. Talk to your lawyer, he'll help you. You can call USCIS and get receipt notice.
To answer your question, I'm not that expert.

My lawyer told me he will not provide receipt notice without employer's permission and employer has refused to grant permission.."
Don't know if calling USCIS and asking for a receipt notice will help if I already have an attorney authorized to represent ME through G-28...

Hi All,
Its seems that my approved EAD card lost from mailbox (seems like post man delivered it in diff mail box instead of mine).. It�s been more than 15 days of approval but no card in the mail.
I contact customer service and they said wait for 30 days otherwise file new one. I am not sure what are the option I have if I won�t receive my card on time? My existing EAD is expiring within next 25 days. Is there any way that I can get my card back or USCIS issue new card without filling new one?

This is a good point. I was not trying to scare you but telling you my perspective of things as you presented them. Even in India someone with mulitple "official" id documents is looked with suspicion. The issue is sensitive in this country in these kinds of times. What if one of your last names gets listed in some FBI database for some reason? You would be stranded for no meaningful purpose in one of the back rooms by the departure gates...
Look at the bright side: with your current documents, you can choose a good combination of names and change/finalize your name with Indian embassy/consulate here in USA. Before that you could consult an attorney to streamline things you need to do .
After you do the name change or finalization, your lawyer would file a suitable amendment papers to your approved petitions. I believe with all good intentions that failing to do any or some of these will a recipe for future trouble.
Have a look at some of hte other forums: even with one set of names, there are people stuck at FBI namechecks; if you dont take the pains now to
decide on one name, everytime you do a paperwork with USCIS, you are adding to your problem portfolio.
Good luck, and remember that none of the members ( at least most of them) are legal professionals. IV anyway allows you to ask questions to lawyers every week (?) and maybe that could be a good startpoint.
Just two things:
1. Make up your mind about your last name and stick with it. Jumping last names can create trouble for you in future. I work for a bank and two different last names mean different people, your credit report will also be messed up so in the long run you will have a lot of pain.
2. Since your first name has three names, and I am guessing out of those two one would be your town and other you father name or something like that, it would be hlepful for you to convert them to single letter and just keep your given name as full name.
