We need an authentic interface to contributions by all members. This should require member login.

Also, that would require the IV members to develop a whole app or something like that to track the members' contributions.
I think people (at least some of them) are serious enough to write the truth; at least about their contributions......

Can you explain in detail what your experience was and what did you get (H1 or J1)?
While I was looking for residency, one senior doctor told me that I should wait and get H1. At that time, I was so interested in getting residency at the earliest that I did not take his advice and instead got J1. It was only towards the end of my training that I realized that to get a waiver is so difficult, in my speciality branch. i had to get O1 visa first to buy time to look for J1, which I finally did in a remote western town.
Now it may be easier, since many VA hospitals are hiring for J1 conversion, which was not so at my time.
Again, if possible, try for H1.

i have gotten everything from multiple !@#'s to great but that is not the point. Your profile is empty, there is very little information about you and the first thing you post is something about how H1's getting scammed. To me it would look like a post from an anti immigrant basher trying to muddy the waters. How does this post help any one?..you could have just added it in the news section. Was this article so important that you had to create a dummy profile and post something. You were in such a hurry that you could not be bothered with entering some information about you...isnt it strange...maybe you are normal guy who just read something during your lunch break and wanted to share it with everybody...who knows... A first post could be something like...'i just joined, i have a PD of xxx and i would like to help' would'nt you agree that this is much better than posting something that doesnt help the immigrant community.

Greetings all!
Being new to both digital photography with a DSLR and these forums it sure would be of value to have someone post their examples of their back focus issues as well as an explanation as to what it is. I'm strongly considering the Nikon D70 and would appreciate any feedback and examples of the photos people have taken with the D70.

We got our EAD in the mail today - We are late June filers (29th June) and got our receipt numbers last week, - I have some q's-
-Can one get EAD without completing FInger printing? In the finger priniting colum on the EAD it says - not available, Would that matter?
-How does one activate his/her EAD?
-Have any other late june filers already got their EAD?

Any advise/comments?
My wife worked as a full time employee and resigned after the delivery from Oct'08. She was paid the sick pay through a third party insurance and these wages are missing in the W-2. I tried contacting her employer and also wrote emails saying I would complain to IRS if they fail to provide a corrected W2. Today is 02/14 and we still didn't receive a new W2 for the sick pay or a corrected W2.
1) What consequences the employer would have to face if they fail to report correct wages on W2?
2) Does IRS is concerned about missing wages that are 1-2K?
3) Do you think I should complain to IRS?
I am planning to lodge an official complaint on Monday 02/16. I suppose it was a deadline date for all employers to provide W2 or a corrected one.

They won't wait for your PD to be current to issue FP Notice.
Also, I don't think (my 2 cents) its advisable to travel before FP.. You never know when it will come and if you miss it... its considered as if you ignored it... They will issue one more FP notice before closing your AOS application...
So its needed to keep track of FP notice...

Here is my situation:
I-140 approved - PD: May '06

However, they said they will not withdraw my I-140 and, to help me, will in fact keep me on their payroll until Jan '08, with my Jan '08 salary as my severance and my official status as on "paid leave". So far, so good.
I also have a job offer, and my new employer wants me to join them in Dec '07, on EAD. My question is: Can I be on officially on the payroll of two companies simultaneously on H-1B and/or EAD? If yes, do I need to inform the USCIS of my status (new employer; AC21)? My other option is to say No to the new (attractive) job offer (or to try to convince them to wait until Feb '08, which they'll likely not agree to), and and take up another job in Feb '08, on EAD / H-1B transfer, using AC21. Please advise whether I'm fine with using the first option!!

I've gone through the pretty much same situation and had a hell of time
with it.
The best way in my opinion is:
1. Stamp H1B with latest approval from India(Home country) is the BEST way.
2. If you have the approval right now goto Mexico or Canada and stamp it.
3. Show the new approval letter to the POE and beg him to give the new data ( Mar 2007). ( Incase you dont stamp VISA).
4) Incase you dont want to stamp and at POE officer gave you Feb28, immediately after reaching here, do an amendment on you H1B saying
a slight change in job description. ( Like add one more thing in your responsibilites or whatever)
If he gives Mar 2007 on I-94 you are okay. If he give Feb 28 that would
create problems. I did not know it first time and found it after the date expired on the I-94. Murthy advised me to do an H1B amendment. So I had to spend about 3grands on this. Atty said technically I had some 2 months out of status stay. I travelled out after this incident. Nothing happened to
me on the way back. So I guess everything is okay.
I would recommend as clean as you could with these things, since doing business with USCIS is an ugly one.

I went to Chennai US consulate for my 7th year H1B visa stamping. Without verifying any of my docs which took it with me, VO just issued 221g green slip and asking all petitioner's docs....
Here is more detail about my case.
1. I am working for a small company < 50 employees as a full time employee, since 2005.
2. I am the only one H1B in my company ...
3. My company was acquired by our competitor and name got changed ...
Here are my concerns
1. If they have any concern / doubt about me / petitioner, Why dont they clear it before approving I-129? Now DOS is sending back all the 221g cases to USCIS only for further verfication. So does it mean USCIS is not doing enough verification before approving I-129?
