I totally support the blood donation idea. I am pretty sure, a blood donation drive would be front page news on American Red Cross web site also. It should send out a message that the GC is so important to us.
The actual collection of blood hopefully will be fully carried out by the American Red Cross.

I am from California. How can I ask this question?
I posted the following question for the Nevada Presidential debate. I urge all of you, specially if you are from Nevada, to ask a similar question.

Many of you have taken a strong position on one side or the other of this issue while ignoring the problems of aspiring legal immigrants. In the midst of all the hype and bickering about ILLEGAL immigration, there is a group of people, often forgotten and ignored, who are caught up in a bureaucratic mess and stuck in a limbo, patiently waiting on the path to LEGAL immigration. This is a group of high skilled workers, most of whom have advanced degrees in medicine, engineering and science from Universities in the US. These people have worked hard, paid taxes and waited their turn, many for a decade, without the end anywhere near sight because of a system that is hopelessly broken and inefficient. I am one of those people. I have been here legally for 10 years and still years away from the realizing the dream of immigrant status.
As the President of the United States how do you intend to address the problems faced by future Americans already living and working LEGALLY in the United States?"

for once sepia mutiny decided to cover our story. i still dont understand that blog. more than 80% of the posts are dedicated to ridiculing indian issues...most of the contributors are indian americans...but they never cover our issues.
i cant understand why they cant make up their mind...either limit yourself to covering indian american issues or accept that we are a part of your ethnic group too. is there an african american blog that keeps harping about child mortality in africa? is there a italian american blog that is dedicated to researching origins of pasta recipes in italy?

I do see 1)Success with July 07 fiasco 2)2 year EAD
We should have a link(In Home Page) to a achievements page(which we have to keep updating we achieve something) which just briefly mentions IV's achievements.

gc_chahiye is correct - this is precisely why my lawyer advised me not to go with 2nd set of 485 + if one gets rejected the other one automatically gets rejected (when both are combined)
We decided to go for 485 that had older PD
I know someone who applied for 2nd set and then withdrew the 2nd application as soon as he got Receipts (his application was in Neb and wife's was in Texas << this could lead to major delays as the files are now physically located in different centers)
With all the confusion and movement of applications to different centers... things can only get complicated in my opinion. One can only hope for the best

Combining them simply puts them all into a single file for USCIS to follow up on. They are still individual files, based on individual I-140s.

My wife and I are planning to apply as dependents for each other.
Reasons:
My company is doing so-so.
On the other hand if and when we have kids, she would like to stay at home if possible.
The only thing that is not clear is we probably should file only 1 EAD/AP.
For now, we are thinking we will apply for EAD/AP through her I140.

I am sure you must have thought a lot before the 'foreclosure' came into your mind. Here is an advice. If there is not too much that you will have to put out from your own pocket, then it is better to take the hit and move on.
If you do foreclose, it might not be the best for credit history as well as in some random cases, job search. Jobs usually do a background check and that includes credit check in some cases as well. I hope it has no bearing but in some cases can. I don't think it will have any impact on your GC. Even if you don't have plans to buy a house, there are far more things that can impact. None of us want to live on credit but in US it is almost a necessary evil. Car, credit cards and the other nine yards that come with it also become scarce for the next few years. So, tread carefully.

US is made by immigrants and the immigrants should feel great about this country since this country gave us opportunity. Look at the things that is happening to us since last few months.
1. CIR bill introduce with lots of provision for Legal immigrants such as reduction of visa numbers to 90k, some people need to apply under new points system, and higher fees for renewing H1b visa. (Supporting US government)
2. Amendments introduce for legal immigrants coming to US on H1B visa or who are on H1B visa. No renewal of your H1B visa since AC21 was removed from the original bill. (Immigrants can go back to thier home country quickly).
3. VB came out with all the dates current. Majority of the people spent approx. $4000-$5000, and time so that they are their family can have better life. On July 2 2007 VB dates will show 'U'. (Supporting US economy)

Any thoughts about this one? I ask because I am not sure whether they send 1 receipt notice, 1 finger print notice for the entire family, or whether they send one for each applicant.

Friends even I believe that looks like we will hit the Jul - Aug 2007 mark this year for EB2 things seem to be adding up well.
If we got 12K from EB1 and EB5 for the first 6 months then we should expect another 12K and even EB2 ROW usage is significantly down.
@vdlrao I agree with your analysis on the May bulletin seems to be spot on.
I think we going to get 8k from EB5 , 12k + from EB1 and what u think for EB2 ROW ? last year EB2 Total = 53 k - EB2 IC (25k) = 27-28k EB2 while they supposed to get 35-36k.means spill from EB2 row was 8k-10k. EB1 gave 1-2 k.
if we get same from EB2 row and Eb5 then total spill will be 8 (EB2 row ) + 8 (Eb5 ) + 2 (Eb1) + 12 (Eb1 ) = 30k. Demand upto July 2007 is 32k - 33k... so more chances of June 2007. if we get more from EB1 and Eb2 row then chnaces for july aug 2007 are more and more...

I think the company should be filing the fees but lawyers fee for filing is not their liability. Hi Folks,

Is it legal for one to spend money (out of one's own pocket) towards getting employee based green card ?
From what I had hear from my company's legal department was that they cannot take any money from me towards the green card application as it is not legal. Employee Based Green Card is for Employer's benefit and not employee's....though it eventually helps the employee -:)

I read in another forum that US consulate in Canada is actually asking to fill out some PIMS form available on their website. Also you need to fax your documents 1 week prior to your appointment.
